midnitefool asked: Hi I live in western Canada, to be more specific Vancouver. And around 6pm pacific time (just after sunset) there is this lone star that is extremely bright to the southeastern part of the sky. Does anybody know which star that is? or if its a planet? Today’s date is February 12th if that helps.

quarkcsj asked: Many people mistakenly think that the North Star is the brightest star in the sky. Polaris is Magnitude 2.0, so how many stars are as bright or brighter than Plaris?

Archie W asked: In Northern Britain at this time of the year, one very bright star appears before any other. For some considerable time (at least half an hour), it is the only star visible in the sky - then, as it gets darker, other dimmer stars start to appear. Can anyone tell me the name of this very bright star?

Janel C asked: What if a star was super massive and a black hole (which would be smaller) was next to it and the star dies (which then explodes) ((I think it’s called supernova)). Would that star destroy the black hole or would the black hole just suck it all in?
I also read that stars could orbit black holes. Is that true?
